GREASE TRAPS

GREASE TRAP SERVICE

A grease trap collects and traps all of the waste coming from a restaurant’s kitchen to ensure the only thing flowing to the city sewer is water. All of the water from the kitchen will flow into this grease trap, including all of the floor drains and sinks.

The size of the restaurant will determine how often the grease trap will need to be cleaned. It is recommended, for larger restaurants with a heavier flow of people and more fried foods, to get the grease trap pumped every 1-2 months. For smaller restaurants or establishments without a fryer, it could be done every 4-6 months.

Not pumping your grease trap will cause a buildup of grease in your lines and start to back up in your kitchen (sinks and floor drains).
